Bill Harrison

As President, Bill Harrison brings 20 years of experience in the software and CRM industries to Epicom.

Prior to founding Epicom in 1998, Bill was Regional General Manager for Executone, Inc. (now NextiraOne), a manufacturer of business telecommunications equipment. In that position, he directed Executone’s sales and service efforts in the four offices of Executone’s Texas region. His responsibilities included profit and loss management, sales and marketing, customer service, administration, and finance of the $18 million annual revenue region.

Before working for Executone, Bill held several positions of increasing responsibility with GTE Corporation (now Verizon). Beginning in the company’s prestigious Engineering Associate Development Program, Bill worked as a software engineer on GTE’s first interactive television system, GTE MainStreet. He also held a technical marketing position with the Network Management group in GTE’s Information Services division. After completing the Associate Development Program, Bill became Manager of Software Development and Support for GTE TeleMessager. There, he directed the development and technical sales of GTE’s Interactive Voice Response systems.

In 1991 Bill founded GTE ResponsePlus, a new GTE business unit focused on the Interactive Voice Response system and service market. After developing GTE ResponsePlus and merging it with another GTE business unit, Bill guided business development efforts for the Interactive Services group at GTE Directories. There he was responsible for conceiving and implementing new information services to supplement the company’s printed directory products.

Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia. He also holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin executive MBA program, where he received the George Kozmetsky award for outstanding academic achievement.

Despite wanting to be a pilot when he was younger, Bill used the momentum from his past work experience and found his way back to Austin to start Epicom.
