James joined the Epicom team in March of 2009 as a Software Engineer and has greatly contributed to the success of several projects. His creative solutions, work ethic, and efficiency are noted by several clients for being fundamental factors to the overall satisfaction and success of the project.
“At Epicom, I like the diversity of the work and the diversity of the clients. Also I like that Sugar is essentially a framework, which you can mold to do many different things. This keeps tasks from becoming monotonous and routine,” says James.
James has a B.S. in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University. James also attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he worked towards a Masters degree in Computer Science before leaving to co-found Flocasts, a sports media company located in Austin, TX. The first 18 months of building the startup, James averaged 80-hour weeks and built the entire site from the ground up, proving the strength of his work ethic.
