Recently we decided to play with TCPDF to see if we could create nicer looking PDF quotes than what is generated from SugarCRM. TCPDF is an Open Source PHP class for generating PDF documents that is both powerful and simple to use.
After picking some colors and a basic layout we simply pull the data from SugarCRM’s quote module and build the PDF line by line. Although it takes a little bit of time and effort to perfect the look and feel, the end result is a huge improvement over the PDF’s that SugarCRM produces out of the box.
